Jobs and Wages
- Organized and provide staffing to the Coalition for Equal Access for Jobs - We helped in securing and are helping implement minority, women, and resident job hiring requirements on the $750 million construction going on at UMass Boston. Current campaign meetings on proposals to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and the MBTA on access to construction jobs and funding for pre-apprentice training programs.
- We are working with labor and community groups on a campaign to raise the state's minimum wage law.
